I am an author, essayist, technology consultant, husband, and father living in Saint Paul, MN. I’m also big fan and shameless abuser of the ellipsis, parenthetic asides, and the long (yet, not run-on) sentence…
How can I help you?
I’m asking, because it’s what I do. Every post on this site is towards that simple, yet important, goal. To some it may sound hokey or, to the skeptical, disingenuous, but it’s really what I love to do — especially through my written work. Some might say it’s my personal brand. I like to put it this way — writing is how I make this world a better, friendlier, stronger place. The way that happens is this; if my words or advice can help just one person, even just a little bit, it makes them feel better. They, in turn, are more likely to help those around them, and so on and so on. Thus, the whole world gets a little bit better.
Perhaps, my books can help you. Get this one if you are looking to achieve a simpler or more intentional life. If you are looking for a more mindful approach to technology, this one is the one for you — even if you don’t use Apple products most of the ideas still apply. If you are looking for practical, actionable, advice on living, this one will help you for sure.
I also have a free newsletter that has been warmly received. The schedule, format, and topics are irregular but I’m confident that those that subscribe find something helpful show up in their email inboxes every once in a while. Take a look at the archive if you’d like to get a sense of what I write about there.
Finally, I love to help folks along their personal journey and offer personal one-to-one sessions for those seeking my direct help, counsel, and advice. Rates can vary based on level of engagement. Get in touch to discuss pricing and details to fit your need and budget.
The bottom line is that I’m always looking for ways I can help others. It’s who I am. It’s what I do. Let me know if there is some way I can help you.
Regarding the design of the site.
The site design is original and built from the ground up using inspiration derived from many sources. There is no template you can download to use for your own site. This isn’t my “Personal Brand” anyway.
This most current version of the site features a one post per page design. Navigation to to the previous and next posts is directly below each post. To find other posts, click on the archive link at the bottom of each page.
I used to allow people to “borrow” my design if they acted in good faith and emailed me first to ask permission. Someone out there did not do this so therefore has spoiled it for the rest. Therefore, everything on this site, including its design, I retain exclusive rights to and will take whatever steps needed to protect such.
My blanket statement of affiliate linking (because even a few cents matters).
This blog uses affiliate programs for monetization, which means when you click on links to various sites that I recommend in my posts and make a purchase, this might result in a commission that is credited to this site (Amazon for instance, and possibly others). I am by no means getting rich on this and it is solely to help supplement, in a very small way, my addiction to books and other sundry goods. That said, I only recommend things I myself use and stand behind them as such.
